All seven baby foods in this guide score a perfect 100: Gerber, Happy Baby, Earth's Best, Serenity Kids, Once Upon A Farm, Cerebelly, and Beech-Nut. None of the seven receipts has a single deduction. That isn't the Standard going easy on baby food. Fruit and vegetable purees with short ingredient lists leave little room for the additives the Standard flags.

Gerber's Banana Blueberry Blackberry Oatmeal is fruit, water and whole grain oat flour, plus lemon juice concentrate, choline, vitamin C (listed "to maintain freshness") and an algal DHA oil. None of those trips a rule in the Standard.
Happy Baby's Apples Raspberries, Kale & Amaranth is organic fruit, kale and amaranth with vanilla extract, vitamin C and lemon juice concentrate. Nothing on it is flagged.
Earth's Best's Apples & Apricots lists three ingredients: organic apples, organic apricots and vitamin C. It is about as short as a label gets.
Serenity Kids' Sweet Potato & Spinach With Olive Oil adds a fat, but olive oil is not one of the seed oils the Standard flags, so it costs nothing.
Once Upon A Farm's Green Kale and Apple blend is apple, banana, kale and hemp seed. Cerebelly's Sweet Potato Mango puree is sweet potato, mango and water with a plant-based nutrient blend and algal DHA oil. Neither triggers a rule.
Beech-Nut's Apples, Mango & Kiwi puree is fruit puree concentrates, water, kiwi juice and vitamin C, with no flagged ingredients.
Every score above comes from The AisleScore Standard v1.3, the same rubric we run on every product in the directory. None of the ingredient red flags (seed oils, HFCS, artificial dyes, synthetic preservatives, emulsifiers of concern) appears on these seven labels. None of the label-structure rules fired either: no sugar or syrup in the first three ingredients, and no label over the 10-ingredient line.
Scores on this page are auto-scored from Open Food Facts data against The AisleScore Standard v1.3 and have not been hand-verified by AisleScore unless a product says "Hand-verified on [date]". Check the current package.
AisleScore doesn't track which stores carry each product, so check what your Target has on the shelf. A perfect score here means no rule in the Standard fired. It is not a health or allergy judgment. Read the physical label, especially for allergies, since formulations change without notice. To follow new scores and corrections, subscribe to the AisleScore newsletter.
